The Aquatics Center will provide modern, purpose-built spaces for swim and dive meets, lessons, water fitness, and community programming.

Additional Information
- Sportsplex: almost 200 acres at the intersection of Interstates 10 and 65
- Only leashed service animals are permitted
- No smoking, e-cigarettes, or vaping.
- No alcohol at Mobile County facilities

Future Phase II plans include an indoor 25-yard by 25-meter competitive pool, spectator seating for 645, a lobby, offices, and additional concessions.
Funding
Funding for Phase I comes from various sources, with over $19 million from Mobile County capital improvement funds, Commission district funds, and federal grants, with an additional $3.5 million in contributions from the City of Mobile and the Mobile County Public School System.
